  • How can I subscribe to your podcast?
     
    • You can subscribe on iTunes here.

    • New episodes are posted weekly on Tuesdays.

Book club

  • When will the book club start?
     
    • I am working hard to get our book club up and running. Plans are to start in October.
       
  • How do I join the book club?
     
    • Go to the book club page to sign up to fill out an interest form and when the book club begins, you will be the first to know. Then you will be able to sign up there as well. 
       
  • Does the book club meet in person?
     
    • No, but I highly encourage teachers to start a faculty book club so that you can have discussions in person. Check out the book club page for more details.
       
  • Do I have to buy the books for the book club?
     
    • No, although one of the ideas behind the book club is to enhance your classroom library. Buying the books each month gets a new, high interest book onto your shelf ready for your students.
       
  • What will I get when I join the book club?
     
    • You get one new, high interest novel appropriate for the secondary classroom, as well as access to our online discussions and resources. Ideas for using the novels as mentor texts, journal writing seeds, book clubs, and more will be shared each month. Besides these invaluable things, you get to connect with a community of dedicated teachers who love to bring exciting texts into the classroom.
       
  • If I decide to cancel, how do I cancel my book club membership?
     
    • There are a few options that might be better for you  if you are looking to cancel. You can skip the current month and continue with the following month, or downgrade your membership to the discussion only membership, that way you won’t miss out on the discussions and ideas.

      But if you do want to cancel, you need to send in a cancellation request. This needs to be at least 30 days before the next shipment. When your membership cancels you will lose access to the discussion pages.

      If at anytime you want to join again, we would be happy to have you.
